Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Thirteenth Sunday following Pentecost, August 23, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Carol McLean (The Book of Exodus 1:8-2:10) and Todd Hillhouse (The Letter of Paul to the Romans 12:1-8). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 124, while the congregation responds with, “Our help is in the name of the Lord”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from Matthew (16:13-20). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘God Is Our Fortress and Our Rock’ (Book of Common Praise #526); ‘The Church’s One Foundation’ (#525); ‘The Church of Christ in Every Age’ (#524); and, as our Recessional, ‘Onward, Christian Soldiers’ (#499). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
