CHRISTIAN OUTREACH
Outreach is the Christian response to Christ’s call to care for “the least of these who are my brothers and sisters”. Such ministry to those who live on the margins of our society was modeled by Jesus when he ate and drank with outcasts and sinners.
We live this out through community suppers, men's breakfast, support of a school in Guatemala, support to Dufferin Child And Family Services, Family Transition Place, and our local food bank.
Toys for Tots
Every November the Orangeville Police Service launches an annual toy and food drive to assist needy local families during Christmas. Guests, children and parish members generously donate unwrapped Toys for Tots at this time. The parish hosts a tree decorating competition involving local businesses with proceeds going to support Toys for Tots.
Toys at DCAFS
A small group from our church assists in organizing the many toys and other items including non-perishable food products donated to Dufferin Child and Family Services. This especially important prior to Christmas.
Pack-a-Purse Project
Up until May 6 you are invited to fill a purse or tote with new, unused health products to help mothers and children in our community. These will be distributed in time for Mothers’ Day to Family Transition Place and Dufferin Child and Family Services.
