Bishop Peter Fenty leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this All Saints’ Day, November 1, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Greg Finlayson (The Book of Revelation 7:9-17) and Patricia Finlayson (The First Letter of John 3:1-3). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 34:1-10, 22, while the congregation responds with, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are they who trust in him”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from Matthew (15:1-12). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Let Saints on Earth in Concert Sing’ (Book of Common Praise #282); ‘Sister, Let Me Be Your Servant’ (#500); and as our Recessional, ‘Jerusalem the Golden’ (#278). Being the first Sunday of the month the service includes the ‘Litany of Healing’, when those wishing anointing are invited to the altar rail. Congregant Stuart Smart then explains the Military ‘Sunset Ceremony’. He reads the ‘Remembrance for Those of Our Parish’, following which he plays it on his euphonium. During Communion the Choir sings the Canticle, ‘Aeterna Christi Munera’, from ‘Saints’ Days and Other Holy Days’. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
