Reverend Alan Cook leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Seventeenth Sunday following Pentecost, September 20, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by James Hodder (The Book of Exodus 16:2-15) and Christine Cox (The Letter of Paul to the Philippians 1:21-30). This Sunday the verses to Psalm 105:1-6, 37-45 are cantored by Greg Finlayson, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord has always been mindful of his covenant”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from Matthew (20:1-16). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Lord, Whose Love in Humble Service’ (Book of Common Praise #585); ‘O Worship the King’ (#380); ‘Eat This Bread, Drink This Cup’ (#63); and, as our Recessional, ‘Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken’ (#388).
