Reverend Susanne McKim leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Fifteenth Sunday following Pentecost, September 6, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Assistant and Intercessor James Hodder. The lessons are read by Greg Finlayson (The Book of Exodus 12:1-14) and Audi Geadah Ogley (The Letter of Paul to the Romans 13:8-14). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 149, while the congregation responds with, “Sing to the Lord a new song”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from Matthew (18:15-20). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Where Charity and Love Prevail’ (Book of Common Praise #487); ‘To the Name of Our Salvation’ (#377); ‘We Hail Thee Now, O Jesus’ (#80); and, as our Recessional, ‘Forgive Our Sins As We Forgive’ (#614). Being the first Sunday of the month the Prayers for the People include the ‘Litany of Healing’, during which those wishing anointing are invited to the altar rail. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
