Reverend David Bryant leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Fourteenth Sunday following Pentecost, August 30, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Susan Schuschu. The lessons are read by James Hodder (The Book of Exodus 3:1-15) and Christine Cox (The Letter of Paul to the Romans 12:9-21). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 105:1-6, 23-26, 45c, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord has always been mindful of his covenant”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from Matthew (16:21-28). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘You Call Us, Lord, to Be’ (Book of Common Praise #450); ‘In the Cross of Christ I Glory’ (#537); ‘And Now, O Father, Mindful of the Love’ (#66); and, as our Recessional, ‘Teach Me, My God and King’ (#496).
