Reverend Alan Cook leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Eighth Sunday following Pentecost, July 19, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Susan Schuschu. The lessons are read by Todd Hillhouse (The Book of Genesis 28:10-19a) and Christine Cox (The Letter of Paul to the Romans 8:12-25). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 139:1-11, 22-23, while the congregation responds with, “Lord, your hand will hold me fast”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from Matthew (13:24-30, 36-43). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Come and Journey with a Saviour’ (Book of Common Praise #482); ‘Rejoice, the Lord Is King’ (#379); ‘As We Gather at Your Table’ (#61); and, as our Recessional, ‘For the Healing of the Nations’ (#576). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
