We are pleased to welcome back Reverend Susanne McKim to lead our Choral Eucharist worship on this Third Sunday After the Epiphany, January 26, 2025. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and this morning’s Lay Assistant and Intercessor Jim Hodder.
The lessons are read by Audi Geadah Ogley (Nehemiah 8:1-3, 5-6, 8-10) and Jamie Richards (the 1st Letter to the Corinthians 12:12-3a), and the Gospel is from Luke (4:14-21). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 19, while the congregation responds with, “The words of the Lord are spirit and life”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this Sunday: ‘God is Our Fortress and Our Rock’ (#526 in Common Praise); ‘Christ Is Made the Sure Foundation’ (#300); ‘Now, My Tongue, the Mystery Telling’ (#51); and, ‘The Kingdom of God Is Justice and Joy’ (#631). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
