Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Eighth Sunday in Pentecost, August 3, 2025, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Kirk Hearder . The lessons are read by Patricia Finlayson (The Book of Hosea 11:1-11) and Jim Hodder (The Letter to the Colossians 3:1-11). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 107:1-9, 43, while the congregation responds with, “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Luke (12:13-21). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘The Kingdom of God Is Justice and Joy’ (Common Praise #631); ‘All Praise to Thee’ (#387); ‘O God, Unseen Yet Ever Near’ (#52); and, ‘Let Us With a Gladsome Mind’ (#398). Being the first Sunday of the month the service includes the Litany of Healing, during which those who wish anointing are invited to the altar rail. All are invited to the hall to enjoy conversation and refreshments following Zach’s Postlude.
