A Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Malcolm Frederick Ogley, March 14, 1950 to June 30, 2026. Presiding are The Right Reverend Peter Fenty and The Reverend David Bryant. Kirk Hearer is Crucifer and Lay Reader, and our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker. The lessons are read by Carol McLean (The Book of Job) and Susan Schuschu (The Book of Revelation). The Gospel is from John. Our hymns: ‘Abide With Me’ (Book of Common Praise #24); ‘Nearer My God to Thee’ (#538); and, ‘Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee’ (#425). Following Communion Zach sings Rupert Lang’s ‘Kontakion’. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery occurs immediately following the service, while guests enjoy the luncheon.
