Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany, February 8, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Susan Schuschu. The lessons are read by Audi Geadah Ogley (The Book of Isaiah 58:1-9a) and Greg Finlayson (First Letter to the Corinthians 2:1-12). The Gospel is from Matthew (5:13-20). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 112:1-9, while the congregation responds with, “Happy are they who have given to the poor”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this Sunday: ‘In Christ There is No East or West’ (Common Praise #484) in recognition of Black History Month, composed by a pioneering Black American musician; ‘Praise to the Lord, the Almighty’ (#384); ‘Before I Take the Body of My Lord’ (#610); and, as our Recessional, ‘Forgive Our Sins As We Forgive’ (#614). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s postlude.
