We are pleased to welcome back Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow as Guest Presider and Preacher on this Fourteenth Sunday in the Pentecost Season, August 25, 2024. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and our Lay Reader and Intercessor this week is Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Christine Cox (The 1st Book of Kings 8:22-30, 41-43) and Greg Finlayson (The Letter to the Ephesians 6:10-20), and the Gospel is from John (6:56-69). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 84, while the congregation responds with, “Happy are the people whose strength is in you! ” from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee (#425 in Common Praise); Alleluia! Sing to Jesus (#374); Now, My Tongue, the Mystery Telling (#50/51); and, God Is Our Fortress and Our Rock (526). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
