Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow returns as Guest Presider and Preacher on this Sixteenth Sunday in the Pentecost Season, September 8, 2024. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and our Lay Reader and Intercessor this week is Kirk Hearder . The lessons are read by Jim Hodder (The Book of Proverbs 22:1-2, 8-9, 22-23) and Carol McLean (The Letter of James 2:1-10, 14-17), and the Gospel is from Mark (7:24-37). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 125, while the congregation responds with, “Those who trust in the Lord stand fast for ever ” from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing (#306 in Common Praise); We Cannot Measure How You Heal (#292); Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence (#48); and, Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise (393). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
