Bishop Peter Fenty leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Seventh Sunday After Epiphany, February 23, 2025. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and this morning’s Lay Assistant and Intercessor is Jim Hodder. The lessons are read by Carol McLean (The Book of Genesis 45:3-11, 15) and Jamie Richards (The 1st Letter to the Corinthians 15:35-38, 42-50), and the Gospel is from Luke (6:27-38). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 37:1-12, 41-42, while the congregation responds with, “Put your trust in the Lord and do good”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: ‘Where Charity and Love Prevail’ (Common Praise #487); ‘God, Who Touchest Earth’ (#422); ‘Just As I Am’ (#615); and, ‘For the Healing of the Nations’ (#576). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
