Kirk Hearder leads our Liturgy of Morning Prayer worship on this Sixth Sunday in Pentecost, July 20, 2025, when we welcome Jennifer Kiervin as guest homilist. We welcome back Zacharia Dekker as Music Director following his brief summer vacation, with thanks to John Charles as guest organist last Sunday. The lessons are read by Kamma Thompson (The 1st Book of Amos 8:1-12) and Hugh Thompson (The Letter to the Colossians 1:15-28). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 52, while the congregation responds with, “I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Luke (10:38-42). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Morning Has Broken’ (Common Praise #3); ‘Be Thou My Vision’ (#505); and, ‘Teach Me, My God and King’ (#496). All are invited to the hall to enjoy conversation and refreshments following Zach’s Postlude.
