Reverend Susanne McKim leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Third Sunday in Easter, May 4, 2025. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and our Lay Reader and Intercessor this Sunday is Susan Schuschu. The lessons are read by Carol McLean (The Book of Acts 9:1-20) and Kirk Hearder (Revelation to John 5:11-14). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 30, while the congregation responds with, “You have brought me up, O Lord, from the dead”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from John (21:1-19). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Christ Whose Glory Fills the Skies’ (Common Praise #5); ‘Jesus Calls Us! O’er the Tumult’ (#432); ‘Come, Let Us Eat’ (#62); and, ‘The Church of Christ in Every Age’ (#584). Being the first Sunday of the month there is the Litany of Healing. Those who wish are invited to the altar rail for anointing. All are invited to the hall to enjoy conversation and refreshments following Zach’s Postlude.
