Lay Reader Kirk Hearder leads our Liturgy of Morning Prayer on this Second Sunday in Pentecost, June 22, 2025. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and our Lay Assistant and Intercessor this week is Jim Hodder. The lessons are read by Graham French (The Book of Kings 19:1-4) and Patricia Finlayson (The Letter to the Galatians 3:23-29). The psalmists read the verses to Psalms 42 and 43, while the congregation responds with, “When shall I come to appear before the presence of God?”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Luke (8:26-39). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Thou, Who at Thy First Eucharist’ (Common Praise #57); ‘How Clear Is Our Vocation, Lord’ (#466); ‘Dear God, Compassionate and Kind (#455); and, ‘Lord, Whose Love in Humble Service’ (#585). The choir anthem, “Taste and See”, is by James E. Moore, Jr. All are invited to the hall to enjoy conversation and refreshments following Zach’s Postlude.
