Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for the Life of Glenys Elaine McCuaig

Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow (St. Mark’s Orangeville) is Presider and Preacher for this Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for the life of Glenys Elaine McCuaig (March 2, 1941 – April 15, 2024). Hymns selected by the family for Glenys: My Faith Looks Up to Thee (Common Praise #577); Precious Lord, Take My Hand (#509); Hymn sung during Communion – Amazing Grace (#352); and, concluding with Nearer My God to Thee (#538). The Twenty-third Psalm is read by her cousin Rob McCuaig, and Rob’s wife Marilyn McCuaig reads the poem, “The Next Place”. There is Sharing by Family Members and Friends Cheryl Russell (one of Glenys’s PSW’s) and Rob McCuaig. The Committal takes place in St. John’s Cemetery on the 7th Line of Mono at 2 PM following the service and luncheon in the hall. The music for this morning’s service was previously recorded with the choir and congregation of St. John’s, under the leadership of Music Director Zacharia Dekker. Leading into the service is Zach’s recording of ‘Finlandia’.
