Reverend Alan Cook leads our worship on this National Indigenous Day of Prayer, the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost, June 21, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Jennifer Kiervin (The Book of Isaiah 40:25-31) and Jim Hodder (The Letter of Paul to the Philippians 4:4-9). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 19, while the congregation responds with, “The statutes of the Lord rejoice the heart”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from John (1:1-18). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Rise Up, O Saints of God’ (Common Praise #586); ‘Lift High the Cross’ (#602); ‘Lord, You Give the Great Commission’ (#433); and, as our Recessional, ‘The Church of Christ in Every Age’ (#584). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
