Bishop Peter Fenty leads our worship on this Day of Pentecost, May 24, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Audi Geadah Ogley. The lessons are read by Patricia Finlayson (The Book of Acts 2:1-21) and Jim Hodder (First Letter to the Corinthians 12:3b-13). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 104:25-35, 37, while the congregation responds with, “Send forth your Spirit, O Lord, and renew the face of the earth”, from the George Black setting, ‘In the Midst of the Congregation’. The Gospel is from John (20:19-23). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say’ (Common Praise #508); ‘O Holy Spirit, By Whose Breath’ (#638)); and, as our Recessional, ‘Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken’ (#388). During Communion the choir sings the anthem, ‘Holy Spirit, Ever Dwelling’, by Antony Baldwin. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
