Reverend Susanne McKim leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Susan Schuschu. The service begins with the ‘Liturgy of the Palms’, and the reading of the Gospel (Matthew 21:1-11). The lessons are read by Greg Finlayson (The Book of Isaiah 50:4-9a) and Audi Geadah Ogley (The Letter to the Philippians 2:5-11). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 31:9-16, while the congregation responds with, “Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit”, from the George Black setting. The service includes the multi-reader ‘Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ according to St. Matthew’. Our hymns this Sunday: ‘All Glory, Laud, and Honour’ (Common Praise #181); ‘Ride On, Ride On in Majesty’ (#182); and as our Recessional, ‘O Sacred Head, Surrounded’ (#198). During Communion the choir sings the anthem, ‘On Humble Beast Now Rides the King’, by Hal H. Hopson. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
