Kirk Hearder leads our service of Morning Prayer on this, The Baptism of Our Lord Sunday, January 11, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Audi Geadah Ogley. The lessons are read by Kamma Thompson (The Book of Isaiah 42:1-9) and Hugh Thompson (The Book of Acts 10:34-43). The Gospel is from Matthew (3:13-17). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 29, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord shall give his people the blessing of peace”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Sing of God Made Manifest’ (Common Praise #162); ‘Mark How the Lamb’ (#165); ‘Glorious in Majesty’ (#618); and, as our Recessional, ‘Lord, the Love of Your Light Is Shining’ (#460). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s postlude.
