Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Thirteenth Sunday in Pentecost, September 7, 2025, with Music Director and Organist Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Assistant and Intercessor Jim Hodder. The lessons are read by Kamma Thompson (The Book of Jeremiah 18:1-11) and Hugh Thompson (The Letter to Philemon 1:1-21). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 139:1-5, 12-17, while the congregation responds with, “Your works are wonderful, O Lord”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Luke (14:25-33). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Lift High the Cross’ (Common Praise #602); ‘Take Up Your Cross, the Saviour Said’ (#431); ‘Lord, Whose Love in Humble Service’ (#585); and, ‘You Are Salt for the Earth’ (#502). Being the first Sunday of the month the service includes the Litany of Healing, during which those wishing anointing are invited to the altar rail. All are welcomed to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
