Lay Reader and Intercessor Audi Geadah Ogley leads our Morning Prayer worship on this Tenth Sunday in Pentecost, August 17, 2025, with Guest Organist John Charles, and Guest Homilist Jennifer Kiervin. The lessons are read by Carol McLean (The 1st Book of Isaiah 5:1-7) and Chris Cox (The Letter to the Hebrews 11:29-12:2). The verses of Psalm 80:1-2, 8-18 are read, with the congregation responding with, “Behold and tend this vine; preserve what your right hand has planted”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Luke (12:49-56). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing’ (Common Praise #354); ‘Abide With Me’ (#24); and, ‘Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus’ (#461). All are invited to the hall to enjoy conversation and refreshments following John’s Postlude.
