Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Fifth Sunday in Lent, April 6, 2025. Our Lay Reader and Intercessor is Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Hugh Thompson (The Book of Isaiah 43:16-21) and Kamma Thompson (The Letter to the Philippians 3:4b-14 ), and the Gospel is from John (12:1-8). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 126, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord has done great things for us”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: ‘Let Us with a Gladsome Mind ‘ (#398 in Common Praise; ‘Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee” (#617); ‘Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence’ (#48); and, ”King of Glory, King of Peace (#345). Being the first Sunday of the month there is the Litany of Healing. Those wishing to be anointed will be invited to the altar rail. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
