Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Second Sunday in Lent, March 16, 2025. Our Lay Reader and Intercessor is Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Jim Hodder (The Book of Genesis 15:1-12, 17-18) and Carol McLean (The Letter to the Philippians 3:17-4:1), and the Gospel is from Luke (13:31-35). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 27, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord is my light and my salvation”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: ‘By the Holy Spirit Sent’ (#176 in Common Praise); ‘A Spendthrift Lover Is the Lord” (#177); ‘Of Eternal Love Begotten’ (#132); and, ”Now Let Us All with One Accord’ (#172). Services during Lent begin with a silent procession. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
