Bishop Peter Fenty returns to lead worship on this Epiphany Sunday, January 5, 2025, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker and Lay Reader and Intercessor Susan Schuschu. The Lessons are read by Chris Cox (Isaiah 60:1-6) and Jamie Richards (The Letter to the Ephesians 3:1-12). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 72:1-7, 10-14, while the congregation responds with, “All nations shall serve him”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Matthew (2:1-12). Being the first Sunday of the month there is also the Litany of Healing, with anointing at the altar rail for those coming forward. Our hymns this week: ‘Sing of God Made Manifest’ (#162 in Common Praise); ‘Earth Has Many a Noble City’ (#158); ‘What Child Is This’ (#137); and, ‘As with Gladness Men of Old’ (#160). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
