Bishop Peter Fenty returns to lead our Choral Eucharist worship on this Twentieth Sunday in Pentecost, October 6, 2024, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Audi Geadah Ogley. The lessons are read by Susan Schuschu (The Book of Job 1:1, 2:1-10) and Carol McLean (The Letter to the Hebrews 1:1-4, 2:5-12). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 26, and the congregation responds with, “Do not sweep me away with sinners” from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ (Common Praise #415); ‘The Church’s One Foundation’ (#525); ‘Be Still’, by David J. Evans; and, ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’ (#519). Being the first Sunday of the month there will be The Litany of Healing, with those wishing to do so receiving anointing at the altar rail. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
