We are pleased to welcome Reverend Alan Cook as Guest Presider and Preacher on this Twelfth Sunday in the Pentecost Season, August 11, 2024. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and our Lay Assistant and Intercessor this week is Jim Hodder. The lessons are read by Kamma Thompson (The 2nd Book of Samuel 18:5-9, 15, 31-33) and Hugh Thompson (The Letter to the Ephesians 4:25-5:2), and the Gospel is from John (6:35, 41-51). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 130, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord shall redeem us from all our sins.” from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun (#383 in Common Praise); At the Name of Jesus (#375); O God, Unseen Yet Ever Near (#52); and, To God Be the Glory (371). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.

The flowers are given in memory of Robert Hillhouse (Grandfather) by Todd Hillhouse and Chris Mackey-Hillhouse.
