We are grateful again to have as Officiant and Homilist for our Litany of Morning Prayer this Eleventh Sunday in the Pentecost Season Lay Reader and Order of the Diocese of Toronto recipient Kirk Hearder. We welcome back our Music Director Zacharia Dekker from his European vacation, and our Lay Reader and Intercessor is Audi Geadah Ogley. The lessons are read by Jim Hodder (The 2nd Book of Samuel 11:26–12:13a) and Chris Cox (The Letter to the Ephesians 4:1-16), and the Gospel is from John (6:24-35). The psalm is 51:1-13. While Zach sings the verses the congregation responds with, “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say (#508 in Common Praise); Jesus, the Joy of Loving Hearts (#70); The Church’s One Foundation (#525); and, Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah (#565). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
