Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this First Sunday in Lent, February 22, 2026, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Christine Cox (The Book of Genesis 2:15-17, 3:1-7) and Jim Hodder (The Letter to the Romans 5:12-19). The Gospel is from Matthew (4:1-11). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 32, while the congregation responds with, “O Lord, you forgave me the guilt of my sin”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Forty Days and Forty Nights’ (Common Praise #175); ‘The Glory of These Forty Days’ (#170); ‘O Love, How Deep, How Broad’ (#628); and as our Recessional, ‘He Came Down’ (#368). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s postlude.
