Bishop Peter Fenty leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Fourth Sunday in Advent, December 21, 2025, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Kirk Hearder . The service begins with ‘The Lighting of the Advent Candles’ and singing of ‘When God is a Child’. The lessons are read by Greg Finlayson (The Book of Isaiah 7:10-16) and Christine Cox (The Letter to the Romans 1:1-7). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 80:1-7, while the congregation responds with, “Show the light of your countenance, and we shall be saved”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Matthew (1:18-25). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Come, Thou Long-expected Jesus’ (Common Praise #88); ‘Lo, He Comes with Clouds Descending (#114); ‘We Praise You, Lord, for Jesus Christ’ (#47); and, as our Recessional, ‘When the King Shall Come Again’ (#109).

Following Bishop Fenty’s sermon there is the ‘Preparing for Baptism of Mathéo Johannes Gang Dekker’, and ‘The Celebration of Baptism’. All are invited to the hall for a light luncheon following Zach’s Postlude.
