Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Second Sunday of Advent, December 7, 2025, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Audi Geadah Ogley. The lessons are read by Carol McLean (The Book of Isaiah 11:1-10) and Kirk Hearder (The Letter to the Romans 15:4-13). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 72:1-7, 18-19, while the congregation responds with, “In his time shall peace and justice flourish”, from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from Matthew (3:1-12). Our hymns this Sunday: ‘Comfort, Comfort Ye My People’ (Common Praise #100); ‘”Sleepers, Wake!” A Voice Astounds’ (#110); ‘O God, Unseen Yet Ever Near’ (#52); and, as our Recessional, ‘Your Servants of the Lord’ (#93). During the Litany of Healing (first Sunday of the month) those who wish anointing are invited to the altar rail. That more personal portion of the service has been removed from this edited version. All are welcome to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
