Bishop Peter Fenty leads our worship on this Good Friday, April 18, 2025. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, our Lay Reader and Intercessor is Kirk Hearder, and Crucifer is Kirk Hearder. The lessons are read by Greg Finlayson (The Book of Isaiah 52:13-53:12) and Audi Geadah Ogley (The Letter to the Hebrews 4:14-16, 5:7-9). The Psalm is 22. The Narrative Gospel is “The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ according to John”, with congregants taking different parts. Our hymns are: ‘People Draw Near to God’ (Common Praise #201); and, ‘There is a Green Hill Far Away’ (#202). The choir anthem is, “Throned Upon the Awful Tree”, by Franklin Ritter.
