We are pleased to welcome back Reverend Susanne McKim to lead our Choral Eucharist worship on this All Saints Sunday, November 3, 2024, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and Lay Reader and Intercessor Audi Geadah Ogley. The lessons are read by Chris Cox (The Book of Isaiah 25:6-9) and Greg Finlayson (The Book of Revelation 21:1-6a). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 24, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory,” from the George Black setting. The Gospel is from John (11:32-44). Our hymns this week: ‘Let Saints on Earth in Concert Sing’ (Common Praise #282); ‘Jerusalem the Golden’ (#278); and, ‘Who Are These Like Stars Appearing’ (#281). Following the Prayers for the People (the Intercessions), congregant Stuart Smart reads a list of parishioners who have passed on during the last decade, then plays, ‘Bugle Call at Sunset’. During Communion the choir sings the Canticle, ‘All Saints and Holy Days’, Arranged by Alfred Whitehead. All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
