Reverend Alan Cook returns as Guest Presider and Preacher on this Nineteenth Sunday in the Pentecost Season, September 29, 2024. Our Music Director is Zacharia Dekker, and our Lay Reader and Intercessor this week is Susan Schuschu . The lessons are read by Kirk Hearder (The Book of Genesis 28:10-17) and Jamie Richards (The Revelation to John 12:7-12), and the Gospel is from John (1:47-51). The verses of Psalm 103:19-22 are cantored by Zach, and the congregation responds with, “Bless the Lord, O my soul” from the George Black setting. Our hymns this morning: Come, Let Us Join Our Cheerful Songs (#319 in Common Praise); Forgive Our Sins As We Forgive (#614); Before I Take the Body of My Lord (#610); and, Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones (#320). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
