DESCRIPTION:Our delicious annual celebration of the beginning of summer will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday\, June 27. The doors will open at 5\, with supper served at 5:30. There will be a full menu of ham\, potatoes\, salads\, and rolls\, with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. The cost is $20 per person. SUMMARY:Schomberg Country Run/Walk\, Saturday\, September 27 at 9 am.
DESCRIPTION:This is the 15th year for this Outreach event in support of Water First\, with donations received going towards training of individuals within our Indigenous communities to maintain their clean water systems. This was the idea of Reverend Sheilagh Ashworth (now deceased) at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church in Schomberg\, where the event takes place. \nOur ‘St. John’s Team’ of Jim Hodder (who has participated every year since its inception)\, Greg Finlayson\, and Jamie Richards has enjoyed generous support from our church members\, family\, and friends\, and hopes to do so again this year. \nYou may hand cash to any one of us. You may also give us a cheque made payable to “The Anglican Church of St. Mary Magdalene”\, or you may make an Interac e-transfer to James.Hodder@bell.net. (Don’t forget the dot between Jim’s first and last names.) All donations will receive a tax receipt from St. Mary Magdalene’s in 2026 for any amount given. Thank you for your support! \n

DESCRIPTION:No matter whether you spell it ‘twonie’ or ‘toonie’ it’s still a delicious Fall Feast. Doors open at 5\, with supper served at 5:30. Call the office at 519-941-1950 to reserve\, since we cannot accommodate ‘walk-ins’. Tickets must be reserved by Wednesday\, November 19. We’d love to have you join us: turkey\, potatoes\, gravy\, veggies and rolls\, with pie for dessert. Tickets for quilted wall-hangings/tabletops may also be purchased before dinner\, with both draws after dinner. There are two of these beautiful pieces\, made and donated by congregant Lilli Lockhart\, who also made and donated the quilt raffled at last year’s supper. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. All proceeds go to our Bell Tower rebuild\, as did those from last November’s draw.
