DESCRIPTION:St. John’s is excited and proud to host this male/female Toronto-based chorus who will be performing a charity concert in our church\, sponsored by the local chapter of GoGo Grannies\, with proceeds to benefit Grandmothers to Grandmothers (G2G) of the Stephen Lewis Foundation\, through which African grandmothers care for their orphaned grandchildren. Light refreshments served. \n  \nThe Marion Singers will delight you with an all-acapella programme directed by Christopher Dawes\, the renowned organist\, who has frequently contributed his musical skills to the Achill Choral Society’s concerts\, among others . “We sing Tudor era\, renaissance\, baroque\, romantic\, light opera\, gospel\, modern. Sacred to secular\, serious to silly and anything in between!” \nAdults $20; Youth $10\, available from Chris Cox\, BookLore\, or at the door.

SUMMARY:Newfoundland Jiggs Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Jointly sponsored by St. John’s and Trillium United Church in Mono Mills\, this will be held in St. John’s Church Hall\, with food prepared by The Kitchen at Mono Mills restaurant\, and featuring a five-piece band and cash bar with beer on tap. We will be looking for food donations to offset costs. Limited to 100 tickets by reservation only (no tickets available at the door) by calling our church office at 519-941-1950\, available at a cost of $40 for adults\, and $10 for children 10 and under. Twenty dollars per ticket will go t0 the restaurant\, with the balance divided between the churches. Tickets and posters available soon.
