This Week of October 25, 2021 and Upcoming at St. John’s...

Harvest Thanksgiving and Muffin Sunday: Thanks so much to Chris Cox for the wonderful harvest adornment of our church altar area (the opening screen for this week's service video), and to Audi Geadah Ogley and Chris for organizing Muffin Sunday. We are so grateful to all those who contributed their baking in support of Randall Shea's ministry with the school in Santa María Tzejá, Guatemala.

Parish Administrator: We wish Suzy Koolen well as she has completed her time with us, and welcome Denyse Horner as our new parish administrator. Thank you, Suzy, and Best Wishes!

Welcome back, Choir! We are so excited that after 1-1/2 years we are now permitted to resume our church choir. All twelve members are committed to returning, and will begin singing this coming All Saints Sunday, October 31, joining the psalm refrain and offering a Communion anthem. We are still required to observe social distancing and masking, but this is a wonderful addition of voices to what our director Zach has been providing for us. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before the congregation can join the singing.

Donate Button: We now have a Donate heading on the Home Page of our website, providing various ways through which people can support our ministry. This is a customary opportunity on many church websites — including at our cathedral — for those who follow us online especially to show their support of St. John’s. We recognize we are fortunate to have both an in-church as well as an online congregation.

Resumption of In-Church Worship: Services  resumed under pandemic restrictions on June 20. Masks and social distancing continue to be required. Please arrive with your mask and follow the sidespersons’ directions for seating. Until further notice there will be a said rather than choral Eucharist service. Socializing is restricted to outside the church building.

Video Recording: Recording of the complete services will continue with occasional interruptions when the congregant responsible is unable to attend. Every effort will be made to complete the editing process and post the videos to our Facebook page and under the RECORDINGS heading on our website as early as possible following each service, hopefully by the Monday.
