Bishop Peter Fenty leads our Choral Eucharist worship on this Fifth Sunday in Pentecost, June 23, 2024, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker at the organ, and Lay Assistant and Intercessor Jim Hodder. The lessons are read by Carol McLean (The 1st Book of Samuel 17:32-49) and Todd Hillhouse (The 2nd Letter to the Corinthians 6:1-13), and the Gospel is from Mark (4:35-41). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 9:9-20, while the congregation responds with, “The Lord is a refuge in times of trouble.”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: Christ Whose Glory Fills the Skies (#5 in Common Praise); Jesus Calls Us! O’er the Tumult (#432); Thou, Who at Thy First Eucharist (#57); and, Lead Us, Heavenly Father, Lead Us (#564). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
