We welcome the Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow to lead our Choral Eucharist worship on this Seventh Sunday in the Easter Season, Ascension Sunday, May12, 2024, with Music Director Zacharia Dekker at the organ, and Lay Assistant and Intercessor Jim Hodder. The lessons are read by Hugh Thompson (The Book of Acts 1:1-11) and Kamma Thompson (The Letter to the Ephesians 1:15-23), and the Gospel is from Luke (24:44-53). Zach cantors the verses to Psalm 47, while the congregation responds with, “God has gone up with a shout.”, from the George Black setting. Our hymns this week: Hail the Day That Sees Him Rise (#247 in Common Praise); Love Divine, All Loves Excelling (#486); Communion Hymn – Lord, Enthroned in Heavenly Splendour (#84); and, Rejoice, the Lord is King (#379). All are invited to the hall for refreshments and conversation following Zach’s Postlude.
