We are honoured to have the Colour Party and Piper from the Orangeville Branch 233 of the Royal Canadian Legion once again participate in this service of remembrance on the Twenty-third Sunday After Pentecost. We welcome back as guest Presider and Preacher The Reverend Canon Stephanie Pellow, with our Music Director Zacharia Dekker, and congregant Stuart Smart on euphonium and flugabone for the ‘Last Post’ and ‘Rouse’. The Colour Party is led by Sargeant-at-Arms Bryan Goustos, with Immediate Past-President Barry Kimber, members Max Felice and Jeremy Asselbergs, and Piper Greg Laing. The text for the Choir Anthem, ‘In Flanders Fields’, is composed by Col. John McCrae (1872-1918), with music by Kirkland Adsett ( ©2006 Kelman Hall Publishing). Our hymns: Let Saints on Earth in Concert Sing; Who Are These Like Stars Appearing; and, Jerusalem the Golden. Recording and editing by chorister Greg Finlayson. St. John’s, East Orangeville is in Caledon, Ontario Canada, and is a parish within the Anglican Diocese of Toronto. Please visit us at stjohnsorangeville.ca
